Super Tuesday Aftermath

Just arrived from the Gents/Tech baseball game, I turned between the coverage of Super Tuesday on C-SPAN and the Summit men's tournament final where South Dakota State held off WIU in overtime. Fantastic game, and makes me miss Centenary's involvement in the Mid Continent/Summit League. Anyway, not a good night for Ron Paul, he finished 2nd in some places, third in some places and fourth as well.

The Santoromnich express scored victories in all ten states. As you see on this chart, where teal is the states that Rick Santorum won, orange is the victories for Mitt Romney and the purple states is for Newt Gingrich, who won his home state of Georgia.

Still despite 'too close to call' races in Virginia and Vermont, it could still be anyone's race. This Saturday is the next GOP primaries in Kansas as well as three US territories-Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands and Northern Mariana Islands. Plenty of primaries left for something magical to happen, especially for Ron Paul!

On the TV side, C-SPAN partnered with Albritton's News Channel 8 cable, which also uses the resources of Albritton's flagship TV station, ABC7 (WJLA). It is great that C-SPAN simulcasts coverage of the primaries by outlets in certain areas, compared to the bullcrap on the commercialized cable news outlets. Kudos to C-SPAN, better coverage in general of the road to the elections than commercialized TV.
