102nd Grey Cup Sunday: Ti-Cats vs. Stamps

It's that time again.

The 102nd Grey Cup on Sunday in Vancouver's BC Place Stadium will have so many stories as both the Ti-Cats and Stampeders are trying to end their Grey Cup droughts. Calgary last won in 2008, while Hamilton has been without a Cup for about 15 years.

Should be quite a game in a season which seen Ottawa return to the CFL, among the stories. TSN will once again be official television carrier of the game, while here in the states, ESPN2 is your destination, so step away from the NFL, and see one of the oldest trophies in sport being awarded for yet another year!

Ferguson, Missouri: Darren Wilson Free and More Widespread Rioting

While most of us were watching something else, the verdict announcement in which Darren Wilson is a free man, resulted in yet another wave of riots (also known to some as 'yet another 'chimpout').

Like it was in August, more buildings set on fire. Cars at a local dealership were set on fire. So was a Little Caesars, Advance Auto, O'Reilly, AutoZone and McDonald's among the list of businesses in which rioters started looting and set fire after the verdict. In August, a QuikTrip was burned down and looted after the death of Mike Brown.

Even protesters started continuous raucousness. See a rock thrown at CNN's Sara Sidner:

Her CNN colleague Don Lemon got gassed as well. Protesters must have told CNN to get the fuck out of there.

So many responses to the verdict have been outrageous. Rapper Azealia Banks' tweets such as this one have so many outraged: where she dreams of killing 'crackers.' The outrage from the white community is astounding. Her music is shit anyway. I like rap, but hate her music. What an asshole.

And there's more! Boycotts over 'Black Friday' shopping by some of the African American community to show the authorities something. It's not like most of them care, except those who want to fight over Air Jordans and just about anything at either K-Mart or Walmart, as it has been in various parts of the country in the past. Not all African Americans. Only the low common denominator on EBT cards.

Back to the rioting. I hope those who get caught get kicked out of our country. Same shit over and over. Ferguson will become a ghost town by the end of the decade. What could happen next? Stay tuned.

Centenary Shooting: What Went Down

The crime scene, near Mickle Hall, Centenary College of Louisiana campus Thursday. 35 year old man with a previous history of arrests since he was a teen, struggled with DPS and was shot. He died at hospital.

Around 4:30pm Thursday afternoon, a 35 year old man went over to administration (Hamilton Hall). He went to the second floor to seek some help. The second floor is where campus administration, including the president and provost, all have offices. He was described as behaving 'erratically' and wandered around for about 45 minutes. DPS came and removed him from the premises. Moments later, the man had a gun and struggled with DPS. Moments later, he was shot. The man was rushed to the hospital where he later died of injuries.

The man, 35, had threatened child protective services over a case in 2011. He also threatened others in the past, as well as illegal use of a firearm. I'm certain he is on meth. There were classes that were held around that time. There's even night classes there. I went there.

The DPS officers are on administrative leave at this very moment; this seemed to be a justified shooting as they acted properly.

This is an official statement via email:

"Dear Centenary alumni, parents, and friends of the college,

As a new day begins and our hearts and minds turn toward Thanksgiving, I wanted to reach out to you once again to let you know how precious each and every one of you are to me and to the entire Centenary family.

I do not have much more to share than what I communicated last night. I have talked with a number of the staff who were directly involved with the incident. You should know that their calm courage was nothing short of heroic in my book. As you think about and pray for the entire community, I ask you to please remember these persons, in particular, whose professionalism, training and strength led them through a few brief moments that most of us cannot imagine.

Please also remember the family and friends of the person who lost his life yesterday. They, too, are in need of our compassion.

Take this holiday to care for yourself, to hug those you love, to affirm and comfort those who need your assurance, to mend broken relationships and to give thanks for your many blessings. My family and I will be giving thanks for each of you.

Peace,

David Rowe

B. David Rowe, Ph.D.
President
Centenary College"

Why did this 35 year old man of previous criminal history for about 18 years of his life want to seek help on the campus? And why the Centenary campus? There's more than meets the eye. Stay tuned.

Pacquiao v. Algieri Saturday for the Welterweight Title!

(this is the United States poster)

It's that time of year folks! Manny Pacquiao returns to the ring! He will defend his welterweight championship against Chris Algieri, who got a surprising decision against Ruslan Provodnikov a few months ago.

Also, two more title fights on the card, including Vasyl Lomanchenko in action. Zou Shiming will also be in an eliminator match.

The fight card will take place in Macau. However it will be Sunday morning there. I don't know why this fight card had to meet U.S. viewing standards. It should be a noon or 11am Eastern start on PPV to meet location standards. You see what I'm saying! UFC is doing the same thing for it's Stockholm card, where it should be a day airing on Fox as opposed to primetime. 2am start in Stockholm? You have got to be kidding!

Rape Accusations Against Bill Cosby: Will There Be More than Meets the Eye?

With more accusations (including Janice Dickinson) of Bill Cosby's rape accusations, is it just me or will there be more fake death rumors on twitter as it has been over the past few years?

Also, his NBC project is on hold and TVLand removing the original Cosby Show from the network. Will Kraft--makers of Jell-O--remove anything of his from past and future marketing? Who knows? This is getting creepier and creepier by the minute, like the Jerry Sandusky rapings.

And will more and more women move forward in this? Should he be arrested and charged, which is the best case scenario? Stay tuned.

Boxing Heads: It's Months in the Making, and It Will Finally Happen!

After a two month delay from the original fight, it is finally here! Kubrat 'the Cobra' Pulev versus 'Dr. Steelhammer' Wladimir Klitschko for three heavyweight championship belts!

Wlad had to postpone this fight in September due to injury. Now it is the fight everyone will watch, regardless if you like heavyweights or not.

If you're in the states, yes, the fight will be televised. 4:30pm EST on HBO (east coast, with tape delay in the west). Klitschko is back on HBO. This should be a 'slobberknocker!' (Jim Ross).

BELLATOR MMA 131: Lightweight Championship Fight

Another "Fuck you to UFC PPV" is another stacked card just about the same time as MMA World Series of Fighting 15.

BELLATOR MMA 131 will mark the season finale of the current season. There is a title fight, as Michael Chandler will take on Will Brooks in the lightweight championship rematch.

Plus Tito Ortiz takes on Stephan Bonnar. This is Bonnar's BELLATOR MMA debut. Joe Schilling take on Melvin Manhoef. Mike Richman and Mo Lawal will also be in action.

CARD
Lightweight championship fight
(155 lb/69.75 kg)
Michael Chandler (c) v Will Brooks

LIVE on SPIKE this Saturday. Save your UFC PPV money.

MMA World Series of Fighting 15: Middleweight and Women's Strawweight Championship Title Fights

MMA World Series of Fighting returns Saturday on one of the best nights of MMA action!

Two title fights headline the card on Saturday night.  David Branch will defend the WSOF middleweight championship against Yushin Okami, while former BELLATOR MMA champion Jessica Aguilar will defend her strawweight title against Kalindra Faria.

Justin Gaethje will also take on Melvin Guillard, but not for the lightweight championship, as this moves down to catchweight.

LIVE on NBCSN Saturday night! One way to say: "fuck this UFC PPV!"

Sergey Kovalev v. Bernard Hopkins for the Unification Light Heavyweight Belts on Saturday!

It has the buildup for a pay per view fight, but the premises is that we have 50 year old Bernard Hopkins taking on Sergey 'Krusher' Kovalev for the unification belts in light heavyweight. I feel that this is Kovalev's opportunity to retire B-Hop and to show that he is one of the most electrifying fighters in boxing, and not just boxing, but in combat sports as a whole.

Also we will see Vyacheslav 'Czar' Glazkov and Sadam Ali in action on this card. This card will air live here in the states on HBO. This will also mark the reunion of Oscar de la Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions with HBO, as this is a Golden Boy-Main Events co-promotion.

Wayne Static also directed videos himself, including of his band's. He also can be seen in the video, as he was a contributor to the scratch DJ trio X-Ecutioners' "It's Goin' Down."

Thoughts on the United States Midterm Elections of 2014

Several races were on the ballot on this year's midterm elections, including all House seats, some governor and Senate races as well as local races, even some propositions and amendments. This midterm has it all.

On the governor's side, some notable results included some incumbents being re-elected. Nikki Haley (South Carolina), Mary Fallin (Oklahoma), Scott Walker (Wisconsin), just to name a few. In Texas, Greg Abbott will become Rick Perry's predecessor after holding off several candidates in that gubernatorial election, including Wendy Davis, the member of the Texas legislature who will become even more famous now than ever after wearing a Wu shirt with her name on it. She is not for the children, and was absolutely rolling in ODB's grave.

The Republicans will maintain House control with 233 seats, including in North Carolina District 2, where incumbent Renee Ellmers won the election. Why am I bringing this up? Her nearest opponent--former Pop Idol USA runner up Clay Aiken. He was a runner-up in everything. Now this. Sucks to suck Clay.

The Republicans also will have majority seats in the Senate. With Democrats like Kay Hagan (North Carolina) being voted out, it seems the people have listened to the fuckery of Obama (see 'ObamaCare'). Tim Scott (pictured) also became the first African American since Reconstruction to be elected to the Senate. Progress, people, progress. Also Mary Landrieu's Senate seat will be a runoff on December 6, competing against several football conference championships. At last check, one of Landrieu's opponents, U.S. Representative Bill Cassidy, is leading. In Louisiana, 50% is the line of victory. What a fucked up system it is.

As far as local races, don't care. Also the coverage, as I've flipped back between the new SAMCRO episode (RIP 'Elvis' Munson), and coverage on Fox News and C-SPAN (since I don't have Blaze, damn you DIRECTV!). I hope you enjoyed the results of these midterms. Another wave is coming up in two years!

United States Midterm Elections 2014: Today is the Day

Every seat in the House, 33 of the 50 Senate seats, and 38 of 50 gubernatorial races are on the ballot nationwide. This includes local races as well.

Some interesting races to watch, including in the House District 2 serving the 'Research Triangle' area of North Carolina. Incumbent Renee Ellmers will run against--yes folks--Clay Aiken. That Clay Aiken. Will he lose yet again?

Also with Rick Perry's term ending, the next Texas Governor will be elected tonight. One of the candidates has been publicly known in the Texas legislature for her pro-choice stance regarding abortion (Wendy Davis); will Texans have the smarts to not vote for her?

So many races, and I'll be tweeting tonight. Follow me at @MorganShow1.

Nik Wallenda Survives Again! Ratings Down Compared to Grand Canyon Attempt

Link.

Remember, not everyone watches the NFL, Once Upon a Time or other things going up against this. I also didn't watch his attempt last summer, because I was watching the Whodunnit? series premiere.

Motorsport Day in Texas: A Mini-Rant.

I'm a big fan of Lewis Hamilton, and glad that he won his fifth consecutive race, and his second win in the United States Grand Prix since its return to the Circuit of the Americas in 2012. Even though some call it boring, I think it was a good race. Crowds packed to the brim at CotA, more than it was for the Cup race at TMS which took place around the same time, and ended with a pit road altercation between two champion drivers. I'm pretty sure the media gave more coverage to that pit road fight over the United States stop for Formula 1, which is sad.

Come on man, it's Formula 1. Their stop on our soil and yet, there's more coverage of the pit road fight. Yet, people still come out to COTA as it had a better crowd. They'll do this again next year, and to the motorsport media in general, more USGP coverage. My two cents. Oh, and Governor Perry (in his final term as governor) returned to present the winner's trophy to Hamilton. See guys, Gov. Perry knows!

The end.

United States Grand Prix on Sunday!

Last year, it was a Red Bull Infiniti sweep led by Sebastian Vettel. This year will mark the third year Circuit of the Americas will host the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix, which will take place on Sunday.

Despite the NFL, I can clearly say that this is "Motorsports Day in Texas." Why? Not only the USGP, but also the Sprint Cup race at the Texas Motor Speedway, both at the same time. Despite Caterham and Marussia withdrawing, there will still be racing. Tune in on NBC Sunday a little bit before 2pm CST for the start.
