Last year, a great crowd of over 120,000 packed the then-new Circuit of the Americas in suburban Austin to see a clean race, with no safety car periods, and two retirements (including Mark Webber), and saw history written as Lewis Hamilton dominated the race in his McLaren Mercedes, in Formula 1's return to the United States.
