Croatia made its winter Olympics debut at Albertville 1992 and has since sent one of their athletes to every winter game since. Croatians have won ten medals in the winter games, including four gold medals.
To this day, the lone gold medalist for Croatia in the winter games is skier Janica Kostelic (pictured). Kostelic won four gold medals on the slopes: in the women's giant slalom at Salt Lake City 2002, in the women's slalom, also at Salt Lake City, and in the women's combined at both Salt Lake City and again at Turin 2006.
As of now, eleven quota spots available for Sochi on behalf of Croatia, including Alpine and cross country skiing and snowboarding.
