Ethiopia made their winter Olympic debut at Turin 2006 and again returned to the fold at Vancouver 2010--with one athlete.
With the country's running roots in tact, it was appropriate to have a cross country skier in the winter games. Hence, Robel Teklemariam (pictured) has been Ethiopia's only winter game athlete to date. He competed in the men's 15k events, but no finishes good enough for a medal.
There is no Ethiopian representation for Sochi as of yet, but could change.
