88 days remaining until the opening ceremonies at Sochi 2014. Up next on the countdown: Fiji.
Fiji made their winter Olympics debut at Calgary 1988. Since then, winter athletes from Fiji have qualified for two more winter games--Lillehammer 1994 and Salt Lake City 2002--but haven't done so since. Only two athletes, Rusiate Rogoyava and Laurence Thoms, have qualified for those winter games. Rogoyava in cross country and Thoms in Alpine giant slalom and slalom. Both didn't finish well enough to win a medal.
As of now, no Fijian has qualified for Sochi, but could change.
Up next: Finland
