160 days to go until the start of the London Olympics. Next up on the parade of nations: Ecuador (ECU).
The nation has participated in the summer Olympics since 1924, and only two medals have been won in these summer games.
To this day, only one Olympian from Ecuador has won a medal. Jefferson Perez (pictured) accounts for the only medals won for Ecuador in the summer Olympics. His two medals in the 20km walk (athletics): a gold at Atlanta 1996 and a silver at Beijing 2008.
As of now, 11 athletes will participate in four events at London-in athletics, cycling, weightlifting and canoeing.
