162 days to go until the start of the London Olympics. Next up on the parade of nations: Dominican Republic (DOM).
The country has been participating in the summer Olympics since 1964, and their athletes have won four medals. Half of the medals won by their athletes are gold medals.
Felix Sanchez brought Dominican Republic their first gold medal after his win in the 400m hurdles final at Athens 2004.
Felix Diaz is Dominican Republic's most recent gold medalist. He scored gold in the boxing ring, capturing the men's light welterweight division at Beijing 2008.
As of now, ten competitors from that country will be in five events-including, athletics, taekwondo and wrestling.
Up next: Democratic Republic of Congo
