75 days to go until the first day of the summer Olympics. Next up on the parade of nations: Suriname (SUR).
Suriname has competed in the summer Olympics since 1960; and since then, two medals have been won by their athletes.
Those two athletes-the only Olympic medals for Suriname-were won by swimmer Anthony Nesty (pictured). Nesty won gold in the men's 100m butterfly (swimming) final at Seoul 1988, and at Barcelona, got the bronze in the final of that same race.
As of now, only one athlete from Suriname will head to London and will compete in men's badminton singles play.
Up next: Sweden
