It's a busy Saturday at the athletics complex at Centenary. At Shehee Stadium, Gents baseball opens season against Louisiana College at 1pm.
While the baseball game is going (I'm assuming it will be around the 5th inning at this time), at 2pm, at the Gold Dome, the Ladies play ORU, but this is for a certain cause.
This is part of the "Pink Zone" campaign sponsored by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association. Just about every program-Division I, II, III and possibly some junior colleges-are doing this, to raise awareness for breast cancer.
Also the WBCA's charity of choice is the Kay Yow Foundation, named after the NC State womens' basketball coach who succumed to breast cancer in 2009.
So if you're coming to the Ladies' game this weekend, wear pink. I have a pink shirt and I'll probably be there!
