RANT: Fanaticism Gone Too Far

I haven't been watching any awards show recently (because they've sucked for the last 5-10 years), but as you all aware, this woman pictured above, Esperanza Spalding of Portland, Oregon, won best new artist at the Grammy's this past Sunday. She has skill, and anyone who plays an instrument like a keyboard or anything in the strings (pictured) or brass deserves mentions and shall be rewarded.

However, after her win, this was her Wikipedia entry (per this Gawker article):

As you see, these stupid morons called "Beliebers" hijacked her page claiming that their hero should have won and that Espy should die! That my friends is a no-no and I'm pretty sure that this group of supporters are girls around the ages of 8-12, that needs some hometraining from their parents! Oh wait, even better, isn't that a federal offense in real life to threaten anyone with death? Soon the FBI will get involved in this and some of these "Beliebers" will get the worst punishment of their lives.

Rule number 1. Don't threaten anyone with death in real life.

Rule number 2. Keep it to yourself.

Rule number 3. If you do it, you and the public will view you as stupid.

This, as well as the tweets on twitter by "Beliebers" wishing death on Espy is more proof "Beliebers" are one of the worst fans in show business. Soon, the world will know about their ignorance and that their subculture will go away in a year.

Even Ozzy and company had it right on the money.

"What's a Bieber?"
