Whodunnit? Episode 5 Review: Waxwork III: No Longer on Earth

If you haven't seen the episode yet, ignore the review. If you have, scroll down in...

One...

I joined this one already in progress after El Salvador/Costa Rica Copa Oro 2013 semifinal. Good match nonetheless.

The remaining eight picked up the pieces trying to decipher how Ulysses fell off his horse. A makeshift morgue containing a body bag and Ulysses' body was on the farm. Also, the stables had some interesting stuff in there. I'm not sure if there could have been drugs stashed in there, or even drugs to help enhance the performance of the horse (regardless if those horses are thoroughbred or not), which I think is a no-no by organizations like NTRA (thoroughbred racing).

It gets even deeper or deeper. A snake was discovered, and Sasha was probably the first to state the snake's containment of a poisonous venom. This snake got into Ulysses' pants, and was probably aiming for his genitals. Sasha's description of the snake is reminiscent of Miljan's 'tiger' comment on the most recent episode of SIBERIA ("Tigers can't be dangerous. It is a big cat."). Ulysses' jeans he had on at the time of his 'death' only had evidence of dirt, but nothing containing a snake bite (I might have to watch that scene again).

It's lunchtime and everyone is munching on a sack lunch, with sandwich, water, chips and apple. I tweeted that "those sandwiches looked good and better than Subway." Giles responded saying that "the toast was burnt and the meat and cheese was moldy." Anything is better than hallucinated mushrooms, right Esther? (another random Siberia reference). At that time, both Kam and Geno were arguing about something. I was hoping they would fight, for good television. Or better yet, Oscar de la Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions should put these two on the Floyd/Canelo card on September 14.

Then there's a race to help find a clue. The eight had to decipher a puzzle, then run into a room full of snakes. Of everyone there, Kam found it the fastest. Dana described the puzzle as 'satanic.' Quote of the night.

It's nighttime, and a campfire is there. No one's jacket was used (once again, another subtle Siberia reference to Neeko in the most recent episode), while Giles arrived. He first announces the first spared contestant: Cris. Why did I oppose this movement? Cris to me is lying for a reason and miscommunicating between her team and the others. Kam also got a verbal spared notice from Cris. With that in mind, only six left and two 'scared' cards to be handed out.

The first of those 'scared' cards went to Sasha. Not surprising, because she actually pointed out to the rest of her team regarding the snake. But wait there's more. The other 'scared' card went to Dana (again). And that's it. Not. You wouldn't believe there would be a third 'scared' card, right? And it went to Geno! So therefore a first! Not one, not two, but three 'scared' cards! A chance that two or three could be 'killed' off soon.

The next day, noise on the first floor of the manor prompted Geno to wake up, and it discovered that the noise came from a piano-or was it? And there was Sasha, playing the piano and Dana standing next to it. Both immortalized in wax, and could possibly bypass the morgue for an exhibit at Madame Tussaud's. Watching the promo for the next episode, there could be more. This is a nine-episode series, with four more to go. Could the remaining six survive? Could Giles and the maid survive? Or did an invisible spirit from the sky containing the voice of Victoria (Siberia) warn the remaining people in the manor?

As for Dana and Sasha, the movies Waxwork and Waxwork II: Lost in Time come to mind.

With that in mind, I can expect this for next Sunday:

"TONIGHT on the ABC Sunday Night Movie. Two women have been immortalized into wax and the remaining guests on a manor are trying to survive before they turn into one.

Gildart Jackson stars in WAXWORK III: No Longer on Earth. Next."

As for the scorecard:

ELIMINATED:
13. Sheri (blunt force trauma, electrocution)
12. Dontae (third degree burns)
11. Adrianna (cart explosion)
10. Don (mauled by puma)
9. Ulysses (fatal horse fall)
8. Sasha (immortalized into wax figure)
(tie) Dana (immortalized into wax figure)

Remaining: Melina, Cris, Geno, Kam, Ronnie, Lindsey
