SIBERIA Episode 3 Review: Venison Anyone?

If you haven't seen the episode avoid this. If you have, read my review starting in...

Three...

Two...

One...

On the previous episode, Victoria bid farewell to her fellow mates by giving her a stern warning: "You guys are all going to die." From there on, this could be the dilemma facing the remaining eleven.

The episode started off with everyone jumping in the lake. Johnny first, then Carolina. Just about everyone else jumped in, including Esther, whose boobs were blurred out (remember, it's NBC, not Showtime or HBO). Irene and Daniel refused to join them, as well as Neeko, who pointed out that the rest needed to focus on their tasks at hand.

Neeko, along with Johnny and Sam would have food conflicts that would be addressed throughout the episode, but it was the pantry fire that ruined everything. Everyone spotted a fire and they realized, the pantry was burnt down. Towards the end of the episode, a camera caught Carolina as the perpetrator of the fire as a message to send to the rest about the food conflict.

The horn would sound, therefore the clue is at the box. Well, well, well. It's none other than some bows and arrows for hunting. I'm not sure what brand are those bows the cast was using. It could be Mathews or Bowtech. Archery was Irene's strong point, but after being considered, alas, a deer was shot down. Venison anyone? It was also interesting that Neeko's jacket was also used to help with the cooking of the venison. Neeko even got some substance on his shirt as well.

Then the terrifying happens. A couple of the cast ran back to the cabin and described what they saw: a tiger! After various discussions, Miljan came up with the most brilliant response of them all: "A tiger can be dangerous. It's a big cat." Yep, best quote of the night.

Towards the end of the episode, Johnny disagreed with a plan, in which he walked away from the rest of the group. Also, the last scene of the episode. Was that Johnny's body or the tiger's? It seemed to me Johnny is dead. We'll see in the next episode.

The hunting scene is interesting. Remember, real hunters wear camo. Irene and Daniel (I think) never wore camo. Neither did Johnny or the rest. To me, when you hunt in the woods, camo is mandatory, considering that deer and other wildlife are attractive to regular clothing, so I wished everyone wore camo. Mossy Oak, Realtree, any camo is appropriate for hunting. And no, I haven't hunt.

As for the scorecard...

ELIMINATED
15. Harpreet (flag race elimination)
(tie) Berglind (flag race elimination)

13. George (withdrew)
12. Victoria (withdrew)

11. Johnny

Remaining: Miljan, Esther, Carolina, Irene, Anne Marie, Daniel, Neeko, Sam, Sabina, Natalie. Again, Johnny is a maybe.
