NCAA Women's Division I Basketball Tournament 2015: Tampa Semifinals

The other NCAA Division I championship--unlike the men--is a very different picture.

All four teams in Tampa on Sunday are all number one seeds, including Maryland, whose coach (Brenda Frese) has had to deal with one of her twin sons' battle with leukemia. A great, heartwarming story. With Wisconsin's win on Saturday against previously-unbeaten Kentucky in the men's semifinal, I'm pretty sure that the Terps might be in a good position to destroy last year's national champion Connecticut Huskies in the first semifinal.

In the second semifinal, the Dawn Staley-led South Carolina Gamecocks are in prime position to basically get this far in program history, but one problem: a tough Notre Dame program and McGraw-ball will be in full force.

NATIONAL SEMIFINALS
Sunday
(1A) Connecticut v (1S) Maryland
(1OKC) Notre Dame v (1G) South Carolina

Four different conferences represented, the way it should be. Both the semifinals on Sunday and the final on Tuesday night are on ESPN, the mothership.
