Malmo 2013 39 For 39: Gor Surjan & Dorians "Lonely Planet"

Next up on the Malmo 2013 39 for 39 is a nice rock piece from Gor Sujyan and Dorians called "Lonely Planet."

This tune also brings Armenia back into the EUROVISION fold after withdrawal from Baku 2012 due to Armenia-Azerbaijani conflict. This is also interesting because Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi wrote the song.

Armenia knows how to rock. Perhaps you're familiar with the members of the band System of a Down-all Armenians, who have been based out of Los Angeles over the past decade. There was rumors of System of a Down representing Armenia in EUROVISION a couple years ago, but that was fan wishes, nothing official.

Besides Lordi's "Hard Rock Hallelujah" in 2006, rock overall doesn't get enough love at EUROVISION. This has a peaceful message as seen in the official music video:

Judgement: it should pass hopefully. Great song. It could be a contender to win it all this year. Great to have Armenia back in the ESC.

Next up: a review of Farid Mammadov "Hold Me."
