LucasArts/LucasFilm LTD Sold to Disney: My Take.
Link.
Why Disney? Would this hurt Fox, since they've distributed the Star Wars franchise of films? Fox, or maybe either Lionsgate, Millenium/Nu Image, Sony, Liberty Media (Anchor Bay and Overture) or CBS (would be great since CBS/Paramount is home of the Star Trek franchise) would be better suited to handle the franchise, even the cash-strapped MGM would, but I don't see Star Wars in the Disney family, and lord knows if George would rather sell it to Warner or Summit.
Wonder what happens with this deal, and hopefully the product isn't softened. After all, Star Wars has the largest fanbase of all sci-fi fanbases, with Star Trek a distant second (just my opinion, but neither fanbase shouldn't bash each other).
NBA Season 2012-13 Already Underway.
While most other men's leagues around the world already began their 2012-13 season (Australia's NBL and the Philippines' PBA among others), it was the NBA's turn. A new look Mavs squad (minus Dirk and his knee surgery) won on the road, spoiling Steve Nash's Lakers debut. Remember it's just the first night, and there are about six months left of the season to go.
Also it's weird that the crowd was quieter at Staples Center compared to four months ago when the Kings won Stanley Cup final in game 6 against the Devils. Very weird.

The Final Presidential Debate of 2012: My Thoughts.
Some thoughts from the final debate of this election year 2012:
- I thought CBS' Bob Schieffer did a good job as moderator. I would rather had Chuck Norris. Then the roundhouse kicks would begin.
- It seemed that Robamney were yet again sniffing each others' asses. It's the butt kissing folks.
- I got bored, and stuck to the game 7 of the NLCS.
- I got bored and stuck to studying.
- Lots of foreign policy stuff including: "an attack on Israel is an attack on the US." What the fuck? To clarify: an attack on Israel should be an attack on Israel and Israel ONLY. The end.
- Where were the bullshit chants?
- I hope neither will win in two weeks. I will laugh if neither wins the general vote (and then the Electoral College vote)!

Final Presidential Debate of 2012 is Tonight!
The stage is set. Lynn University is the site for the third and final debate presented by the Commission on Presidential Debates. Robamney will go at it again for the final time leading up to the elections two weeks from Tuesday.
Bob Schieffer of CBS News is the moderator.
A note: for those who are wondering, the debate will NOT be on Fox Television Network, as the network is committed to game 7 of the National League Championship Series. The network is relegating debate coverage to its 24-hour cable news channel.
Yours truly will not have live coverage via twitter due to a night class. However, I will watch the re-air on C-SPAN tonight and might have a live twitter session for the re-airing tonight.

Grand Slam of Golf 2012 This Week!
To qualify for this event, one must win a major and that is how two of the four will manage to fly to Bermuda this week. Masters champion Bubba Watson and U.S. Open champ Webb Simpson (pictured) are first timers to this event. Keegan Bradley (2011 PGA Championship winner) is the defending champion of the event. He replaces 2012 PGA Championship winner Rory McIlroy, who is unable to attend.
The other major winner this year is Ernie Els, who won the 2012 Open Championship at Royal Lytham and St. Annes. An ankle injury is sidelining the South African, so Padraig Harrington will replace Els.
TNT will show the event in the states Tuesday and Wednesday. PGA.com will have live scoring.

Petit Le Mans 2012: The Fifteenth Annual
The hideous Delta Wang is back!
The same Delta Wang that ran at the 24 Heures du Mans back in June and crashed out with about 8 hours left to go.
The Delta Wang is among 45 entries that will compete in the final event of the 2012 American Le Mans season at Road Atlanta. The length of the Petit Le Mans (15th annual) is usually either 10 hours or 1000 miles.
This year, no Audis or Peugeots (sad), but the FIA World Endurance Challenge teams have crossed over the pond to this event. So you will see some teams that competed at Le Mans back in June race, in order to gain a spot for the 24 Heures in June from the l'ACO.

2012 Presidential Debates, Round 2: My Thoughts!
Some thoughts from the town hall formatted version of round 2 of the 2012 Presidential Debates:
- Gary Johnson was only commenting through twitter as opposed to YouTube.
- No one won it again.
- Candy Crowley is a fat piece of shit (more overweight than me) that shouldn't have the right to interrupt Romney.
- With Candy Crowley moderating, it should been sponsored by Jenny Craig.
- Candy Crowley is overweight and botoxed and stupid. No wonder she works for the Communist News Network.
- If it was in Baltimore, bullshit chants would originate.
- Robamney failed to mention the one word-OPEC!
- Single moms and AK-47s do not go together, unless they want to.
- Abortion is a non-issue. Says the pro-lifer who is blogging this. I want children to have a great future. Not to be tortured or abused or killed.
- I'm sure it probably drew more ratings than the ALCS game 3 and the new episode of Sons of Anarchy (not the 10pm encore).

League Championship Series Starts TONIGHT!
It's that time! In the midst of the football season, four teams in baseball's highest level are in a stage of a lifetime-to return to the World Series. All four teams-Tigers, Cardinals, Giants and Yankees are all former champions. The Cards are defending world champs. The four divisional series saw a lot of drama, especially in the Nationals/Cards series, where in game 5, a two run lead for the Nats disappeared into a clincher for the Cards.
Now four are one step away from a return. Who will prevail as the league championship series is now here!

Thoughts on the Only Vice Presidential Debate of 2012.
Some talking points from the only vice presidential debate scheduled here:
- Martha Raddatz (ABC News) is a huge improvement from Jim Lehrer at the Presidential Debate. I thought she was fair toward both.
- Ryan was continuously sipping on water. Or was it clear Kool-Aid?
- Biden must had too much Botox.
- Raddatz is not Botoxed (but I thought she was, I should've never tweeted about her appearance).
- The end product: neither Ryan or Biden won.
- The huge winner: Jim Gray (not the sportscaster), Gary Johnson's running mate whose commentary LIVE on YouTube won me over.
Oh, and contact Southwest and other sponsors who boycotted the debates and tell them that more candidates are needed for the debates!

It's October. Do You Know What Time It Is?
Chipper Jones' final game could most likely be on Friday. Why? Because of the new major playoff system, now there's ten instead of eight, what's ironic, is the two AL and NL wild card games are one game-and one game-only.
With that in mind, the Braves' NL wild card game with the defending World champion Cardinals could be the last to see Chipper in action (unless the Braves win, of course). Also the defending AL champion Rangers-who's chance to win the AL west slipped the last week-will play in the first AL wild card game against the O's. The winner of the NL wild card game plays in the NL semifinals against the Nationals beginning Sunday, while the AL wild card winner plays the Yankees on Sunday in the semifinals.

An Important Reminder, For Those Who Care.
Tonight is the first Presidential debate of 2012, moderated by Jim Lehrer (he's not dead yet folks). Only President Obama and Mitt Romney are invited. However, due to Gary Johnson's inclusion (he has 15% of polling space, more than the 10% allowed), several sponsors have pulled out of tonight's debate as a result.
Johnson and Jill Stein (and everyone else that is running for President) should have been invited.
On the other hand, follow Gary Johnson tonight @GovGaryJohnson on twitter as he will have expert commentary during the debates!

This is For You Seve!
Over a year after the death of former Ryder Cup captain Seve Ballesteros, Europe has done it again and will take that momentum to Gleneagles 2014!
US had a 10-6 lead heading into the singles pairings, but it was the next to last match in the pairings when former PGA Championship winner Martin Kaymer nailed a putt that not only defeated Brandt Snedeker in the singles match, but clinched it for Europe. Vorsprung durch Kaymer.
Ratings were extremely higher for the final day on NBC here in the states as opposed to NFL regional action on CBS and Fox. Hence why such drama is what makes the Ryder Cup more intense than the majors here in the states!
Congrats to the Sydney (South Melbourne) Swans...
2012 AFL PREMIERS!
What a match! Swans were down by 19 at quarter time, but fought within the final 90+ minutes. When Nick Malceski kicked a brilliant goal from within 50m, the icing is on the cake. First premiership for the Swans since their epic win over the Eagles in 2005. Sydney's second premiership since relocation from South Melbourne after the 1980 season.
Mike Pyke, #38 for the Swans, was a member of the Canadian national rugby team that played in international Rugby Union competition. In a match against All Blacks, he scored a try. The only AFL player to ever say that he scored a try against the powerful All-Blacks side. Something Israel Folau or Karmichael Hunt never did in their rugby careers.
Pyke is the first North American-born player to win AFL premiership since US-born (to Australian parents) Don Pyke (no relation) did with the Eagles in 1992 and 1994 (under Mick Malthouse of course).
Ryan O'Keefe got the Norm Smith for best on ground, despite being second best on ground in the match (Shane Sewell for Hawthorn had 33 disposals).
