Motorsport Day in Texas: A Mini-Rant.

I'm a big fan of Lewis Hamilton, and glad that he won his fifth consecutive race, and his second win in the United States Grand Prix since its return to the Circuit of the Americas in 2012. Even though some call it boring, I think it was a good race. Crowds packed to the brim at CotA, more than it was for the Cup race at TMS which took place around the same time, and ended with a pit road altercation between two champion drivers. I'm pretty sure the media gave more coverage to that pit road fight over the United States stop for Formula 1, which is sad.

Come on man, it's Formula 1. Their stop on our soil and yet, there's more coverage of the pit road fight. Yet, people still come out to COTA as it had a better crowd. They'll do this again next year, and to the motorsport media in general, more USGP coverage. My two cents. Oh, and Governor Perry (in his final term as governor) returned to present the winner's trophy to Hamilton. See guys, Gov. Perry knows!

The end.
