NBA 2014-15 Season to Begin Tuesday

Just a little heads up here.

While most leagues around the world have started play, the NBA begins theirs on Tuesday night, with all three Texas teams in action among the six featured. The Spurs will hoist yet another world championship banner before their game with the Mavericks on Tuesday night at at&t center. Also the Rockets are in action in Los Angeles. The Pelicans and Magic are also in action Tuesday night (but won't be televised nationally). The Mavs, Spurs and Rockets will be on the TNT doubleheader.

ESPN will kick off their 2014-15 NBA campaign on Wednesday with a doubleheader, headlined by the Blazers-Thunder matchup late. Also 'King James' returns to Cleveland this week, in fact it will be on Thursday night, and will be shown here in the states nationally on TNT.

And the college seasons are also underway as well. Busy time of year for basketball. And then you got Olympic qualifiers.

BELLATOR MMA 130 Friday Night: Light Heavwyweight Championship & Return of Women's Division

The last BELLATOR MMA card until the big one on November 15 is also just as stacked as the November 15 BELLATOR 131 card. This is also one that you won't miss.

The headliner of course is the light heavyweight world title match as Emanuel Newton defends his title against Linton Vassell, however it is the return of the women's division at BELLATOR for the first time in over a year. This card will also mark Marloes Coenen's first U.S. fight since June 2013, when she lost to Cris 'Cyborg' Justino at INVICTA 6 in Kansas City (where BELLATOR will have their card Friday night). Fight was stopped after four rounds (of five).

World Series 2014 Starts Tuesday: Speed Versus Agility

It's that time again. Late October has a special meaning in sport. Forget about football and other sports stuff. Let's finish out the Major League season in good fashion.

The 'undefeated' Kansas City Royals! Undefeated in the playoffs, that is, through excellent speed at the bases, and nonstop plays defensively have surprised everyone in this year's postseason. This also marks the Royals' first time in the World Series since 1985, the year they won the 'I-70 Series.'

The Giants are yet again as National League champions. It is their third time within five years, and in 2010 and 2012, were world champions. Great pitching matchup in game 1 on Tuesday night with Jake Shields taking on Madison Bumgarner, the most valuable player of the National League Championship Series.

NHL Season Opening Night Wednesday Night!

It's that time again. The NHL season starts Wednesday night. A new era in national broadcasting will also take place that night.

The first game of the season will be yet another chapter in the Habs-Leafs rivalry. Remember when Colton Orr threw down George Parros in last year's season opener? Who knows what will happen Wednesday night. This will mark the first game under the new NHL national television deal in Canada where the CBC will remain, but will have the support of the Rogers family of networks. Flames-Canucks will be their other game on Wednesday night as part of their doubleheader.

The Kings will raise yet another Stanley Cup championship banner at home on Wednesday night before their game with the Sharks (not the Shorks). The headliner of the NBCSN doubleheader that night, which will begin earlier with the Flyers/Bruins.
