Chris Kelly, one half of Kris Kross, was found dead a couple weeks ago due to drug overdose at age 34. In his teens, he was one half of the duo who rose to fame with "Jump," one of only four tracks from Totally Krossed Out, released in 1992.

Friday Jukebox 5.4.12: A Short Tribute to Adam "MCA" Yauch

If you haven't heard by now, MCA aka Adam Yauch passed away today (5.4) after a long-fought battle with cancer; at the age of 47. Yauch was a founding member of the Beastie Boys. With a lot of legendary hits, the Beasties know how to deliver. Case in point, "So What'cha Want?" from Check Your Head, released in 1992.

Friday Jukebox 1.27.12

It's the 20th anniversary of one of the earlier works of trance music. Cosmic Baby, later one half of Visions of Shiva (along with Paul van Dyk), is one of the early visionaries of the genre of trance music. From 1992's Stellar Supreme, this is "Space Track." Just like the title track, it's just awesome and a classic.
