On Thursday April 9, 1865 marked the sesquicentennial of the handshake to end it all at Appomattox Court House, Virginia. A little tie-in to this week's FJ: some Civil War era music, Southern Soldier by the 2nd South Carolina String Band of the Confederacy. It was indicative of the music during that time, considering this was motivational battle music.
